It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s not due to a lack of potential content. The season has been insane!!! But getting the time together lately has been a very difficult mission.
But I want to quickly talk about the season so far. Holy Shit Tadej Pogačar won the Giro and Tour! If he hadn’t sat out at the Olympics, he probably would have taken gold there, too. If he started the Vuelta… he’d probably be a favorite even with all those races in his legs this year. What a beast…

Jonas Vingegaard… second in the Tour a couple months after a catastrophic crash that questioned whether he’d ride again. The question I still have is, was Jonas just not fully recovered? Or was Pogi that dominant? The stats and data we’re seeing lean towards Pogačar being at a completely new level. But that doesn’t help Visma-LAB’s disappointing season. Even if Sepp repeats the Vuelta, it’s still a devastating season for the team, especially after setting the bar so high with the Grand Tour Hat Trick in 2023.
Biniam Girmay… what a stud. I wrote him off for years. Boy was I wrong. He had a fantastic tour to finish in Green. Chapeau!
Speaking of being wrong!! Remco coming in 3rd in the Tour? WOW I did NOT see that coming at all. I thought Remco could win almost any one-week stage race or one-day races, I didn’t think he’d EVER podium a Grand Tour. But he held his own and showed discipline and strategy in his podium win. Which was not something I ever imagined I’d say about Remco Evenepoel.
Mark Cavendish got 35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carapaz got his tour stage win, so now he has the Trifecta with a stage in every GT and if I’m not wrong… he has been in every leader’s jersey as well now!
Ineos Grenadiers… wtf happened to them? Wow… talk about an implosion. Especially with UAE and Visma-LAB getting so much better in 2025 with transfers and signings, Ineos has become an afterthought.
Also…a Slovenian won 3 of the last 6 Grand Tours that’s pretty sick.
